I was sitting at my computer desk recently and saw two yearling deer not quite in my front yard but close. And the dogs were oblivious!
I learned something a couple of weeks ago. My wife was working, and I drove Charlie, our black Poodle, to/from the observatory for us to visit. He doesn't bark at deer! It was AMAZINGLY NICE to do the drive, about half an hour each way, without having my head blasted off by 50+ lb dogs barking in an enclosed space.
