It's 3/14.  :D  Harvest Market has a sale today where you get $3.14 off the purchase of any pie.

This is where using the European calendar format is beneficial, because when the 22nd of July is 22/7, you can express Pi Day with greater accuracy... ;)

yes, but who wants to heat up the oven in the middle of summer??

Some other wag said, wait, if it's supposed to be three WHOLE months, shouldn't we be doing this on or about April 5?

Bah. The whole thing is totally irrational anyway. ;)

There is key lime pie. :D Baking aside, it's served cold. And any day is a good day for pie.

Any number of other pudding-type pies...

Come to think of it, the local Baskin Robins does icecream pies.

The likelihood of it being too hot to bake a pie in most of Europe is quite low, to be fair.

The whole thing is totally irrational anyway. ;)

Don't the Klingons have something to say about dishes best served cold? I understand they have quite the culinary past.

I didn't do anything for Pi Day, but over the weekend I did make a Burmese Coconut Cake and a flourless chocolate cake covered with a chocolate mousse for my mom's 87th birthday.

No, gakh is best served *live*.

I had sweet 'tater pie from a shop run by folks a lot darker than me. It was good.

On the other hand, my old adviser said revenge is like those little canned sausages... warming enhances their flavour. That's why both are best served stone cold. :D
