A filker acquaintance used to say that even though he could sit and watch a cricketer or knitter turn a piece of yarn into a solid object, he felt that it should really be impossible. I met him through the IRC channel #filkhaven (now a Discord server channel) and he sadly passed away. I can’t remember whether it was Chris Croughton (Keris) or Dave Alway, as both died around the same time.
