I'm not very adventurous now that I'm older, largely because so many of the things I tried before I was 30 didn't taste good to me. Prime example: jellyfish. I've had extreme negative reactions (taste and/or texture) to insects, eggplant, and coffee. I feel slightly squicked by most non-muscle meat; OTOH I love chicken liver pate. Most of the meat I eat would be defined under kosher, except I like pork and crab and lobster and scallops. I've had horse and didn't hate it; same with goat. Then there are the vegetables that I like but don't agree with me: most legumes and brassicas. I sometimes have hives after eating tropical fruit.
