>> "I'm having a bad day, anybody up for listening while I vent?" <<
Okay, so good in theory, not so much in practice. What happens when you do that, again and again, and it doesn't work? You get this:
>> It can suck when you're trying to reach out or be heard, but no one responds << and this >> Unfortunately a lot of people advise "Just ask for some help" in the problem of people not being there and feeling hurt by that. A lot of times that doesn't work <<
Have to side with the Anon on this one. "Keep trying" only goes so far until you can't do the thing anymore, or you keep getting your hopes up despite knowing better because everybody you have tried that on has let you down. Asking only helps if there are actually people there to help you. Super cool if you have a support system that is present. Not so helpful if your support system isn't. But then, I wouldn't say you have a support system, and it's up to you whether you want to try building a better one or learn how to support yourself.
