"Tesserae" has Phil a bit under aware of how much 'automation' isn't. "The Things Brought Back" has some Sam and JARVIS discussing personhood. In "Coming Back From War" there's a more explicit introduction by JARVIS to Barnes. (Fitter of the Species baselines at Teen Audiences and Above, with several Mature or Explicit. Comic book violence and grown-up relationships.)
