Yep. When you work with a troubled audience, you learn to account for that. In general, if you give the same presentation repeatedly, you learn what problems are likely to come up, so you develop plans for those.

I think so too. That's especially important with chronic cases. PTSD from a single traumatic incident can often, though not always, be repaired. The brain relearns that life is usually not a crisis. But with PDSD or developmental trauma, it's pervasive, and difficult or impossible to fix. One of the critical differences between those two injuries is that the latter often needs to focus on coping with the challenges, rather than defining success as making them go away. If your therapist does the latter, you're just screwed. So it's tremendously helpful for these guys to see that it's something you can just deal with and get on with your life.
