I have pointed out that humanity's impact on the Earth is roughly equivalent to that of a large coment or cataclysmic volcanism, in terms of the environmental devastation wreaked, species extinct, etc. This is not exaggeration, but rather based on scientific analysis and arguments for the Anthropocene. :/
