>> That's a shoe-in for a queer-platonic partnership, actually. Which is mostly an aromantic community mainstay, but it's starting to pick up popularity elsewhere, too <<
That was my first thought. But usually when people say queerplatonic, they mean something deep and permanent, a primary partnership not based on sex. This might last, but it doesn't seem primary.
>>He's *incredibly* valid in that, I did the exact same thing. (After the initial elation of 'holy shit I'm not BROKEN there's other people like me!' wore off, anyway.)<<
Aww. I'm glad you found something that works for you.
My definition of asexual is wider than most people's seems to be. I think, if you feel sexual urges but don't feel compelled to do anything about them, or feel compelled but don't want to, that's still somewhere on the ace spectrum. The general use tends to claim that sexual urges mean not asexual. Yeah, tell that to the marriage police, who aren't satisfied until everyone is married with kids. >_<
>>Similar hat! I like to think of mine as a mosaic- here, my biromanticism, there, my asexuality, there's my gleaming shard of femme, there's the sprinkling of adrenaline chaser.<<
