She put some diligent effort into that, and has an excellent therapist. It's not quite all the way gone yet, but it's flattened enough that "my friend is hurt" trumps it now. The rest will wear off as they get to know each other better and Adalina learns more about Facet.

Use whatever works. By all means, try appealing to human decency first, but if that fails, resort to self-interest. Even most sociopaths can be convinced by the latter.
