Monday Yardening

The sky is annoying me today.  I went outside after lunch to plant things, and it was spitting rain.  Expecting it to rain harder I went back inside and did poetry stuff instead.

Noticed that it still wasn't really raining much.  Went outside again to plant two Dolgo crabapples.

It started raining more and I got rather damp.  >_<  But I did get the two crabapples in the ground.  This completes the inner row of small trees forming the new windbreak.

Local weather spirits decided to be mischievous today?

Possibly. The weather spirits have gotten so crazed over the last several years that I can rarely get anything from them. I'm pretty much down to talking to the land spirits and asking them to discourage the most violent storms.

Yesterday we did NOT get the 1/2" hail that some other places got. I am content.

Our weather's been doing that psycho thing where it looks all overcast, & the inside of my house turns into a cave. Then, when I bring a rain hat for the walk, it fairs off & laughs at me.
