There are circumstances under which I consider this an ethical option. Normally they involve either conflicts between Law and Justice or offenses that I take a lot more seriously than the legal system does, such as serial rape/abuse. My beef with Kraken here would be likely to be an issue of where to draw the line more than anything else.
