I'm British, so obviously my idea of the proper way to show respect for those that served is going to be different, but it always struck me as particularly crass that the way Memorial day is 'celebrated' could be deliberately designed to be triggering for those it supposedly respects!
That said... having read some of the original Captain America comics, I agree, Dum Dum would've loved it! [and it's kind of nice seeing the Howling Commando's get mentioned.]
