>> The more I see of Dr. Infanta, the better I like her. <<

:D

>> Yeah, I get that she's scary, but she's not crazy scary -- she's a classic example of "you treat me like a person, and I'll treat you like a person". <<

Sooth. There is a difference between being dangerous and being a danger. She is safe to be around, as long as nobody provokes her, and it takes surprisingly much to make her go off. Even pedophiles -- she'll typically say "No, I don't want to touch you" at least once rather than the Puppetmaster's "That guy there? Finalize him."

>> But if I were trying to deal with her myself, I would definitely be operating under "genie rules" -- aka "think very carefully about what you're asking for, and make sure that what you say is no more and no less than what you want to say." <<

True and prudent for making requests. Given a mission topic, Dr. Infanta is quite good at planning ahead, with appropriate help. But given a spur-of-the-moment question or request, she's far more likely to act without thinking, exactly like a little girl, and she has a lot more power to make mistakes with. she doesn't tend to make the same ones twice, though.

Her safemode is actually playground rules. As long as people treat Alicia as a child, that is exactly how she tends to respond -- and it's what she prefers, hence her Guardians and her fondness for anyone else who's willing to take her on her own terms like that. She can be the pinnacle of superpowers when she has to, but she'd rather not have to. If you've read "Salvaging," that's a perfect example of how she switches back and forth before those facets of her personality.
