... because it's raining snot today.  Really, look at this stuff.

It sticks to everything.  My hopper feeder and fly-through feeder are coated with it.

So are the trees and bushes.

It stuck to my boots when I went outside, and it's very heavy.  I hope the power lines and such don't come down.

It sure looks like that today!

Also, I love your "holy cow" icon.

That seriously made me chuckle. The ice really does look like snot. So I second the "well stated" sentiment.

But you know I miss the snow. I relocated to Texas some years ago from Kentucky. The winter snows are about the only thing I do miss up there.

Hope the power holds out for you.

I'm glad I gave you a laugh.

I like snow. This ... is not snow. It's slush blobbed all over the branches and the yard. I was hoping to get a nice picturesque snowfall because I knew that I'd have today and tomorrow at home to take a camera for a walk around the yard.

Picturesque would be nice. Unfortunately, the snow doesn't always play nice when we want it to.

That's -- gross.

However, the pictures are cool.

I live within 30 miles of ysabet. It truly was raining snot. And it was just that slick, too...

Thank you!

I appreciate the confirmation. I think some folks were starting to think I was being gratuitously gross.

I was surprised by how slippery the stuff really was. It wasn't at all like snow, more like wet ice. :P

We did finally get some real snow last night, so I was able to go outside today and shoot some new photos. I haven't downloaded them yet. It will be interesting to see what turns out.

Chris went out with the dog last night. The wind blew Chris's hat off his head. He bent down to pick it up and dropped the dog leash. He bent down to pick up the dog leash and lost the hat again. All of that made a nice patch of stompled mush, upon which he promptly slipped and fell when he turned to walk back to the house.

It was definitely raining slurpees, slushies, or icees of some description.

Oh dear, poor Chris!

Yeah, the slurpee machine definitely exploded.

I wonder if some satire could be written about the end of the world as we know it, and an intergalactic slurpee machine malfunctioning...
