What I Have Written
"Five Things That Fall from the Sky" -- A spell creates emotional weather, and two lesbians watch the changes it brings.
"Algophism" -- 32 lines,
I used your title prompt, not as a title, but more as a theme -- although the actual title could be construed as a translation of the phrase. "Algophism" is a poem about three bad-girl goddesses having a good time by tormenting and killing wicked men.
"Feel the Rainbow" -- 147 lines,
For colors of emotions, see "Feel the Rainbow." Two women who can hardly sense their emotions manage to fall in love anyhow.
"Building Where We Are" -- 93 lines, $
From your heaven prompt I got the free-verse poem "Building Where We Are." Schrodinger's Heroes live in the middle of nowhere, so they have to meet a lot of their own needs.
"The Thief of Her Heart" -- 243 lines,
"The Thief of Her Heart" is another emotional dampening story, but with a totally different context. Here the cause is magical, and causes a nasty rebound once released. Delbar rescues Cassia from captivity and helps her ride out the aftermath. Worth mentioning is that Delbar is demisexual -- I haven't written many of those.
"Gezelligheid" -- 63 lines, $31.50 (Hart's Farm)
I love foreign words! "Gezelligheid" is a free-verse poem about what it means to belong, when you don't spend all your time with one person or in one place.
"Treppenwitz der Weltsheiße" -- 23 lines,
Here's the second foreign-word poem, "Treppenwitz der Weltsheiße," written in free verse. It captures the final outcome of global warming.
"Saudades" -- 428 lines, FREE (The Avengers)
Bruce Banner knows all about sorrows, regrets, and wishes for what was lost.
I'll be posting this one some time later.
"The Freedom Machine" -- 175 lines, $87.50 (P.I.E.)
Brenda and Darrel deal with an overly emotional stranger who has a distorted view about Brenda's quality of life.
Then I found this page of highly emotional, very weird sculptures by Choi Xoo Ang. So I'm writing ekphrastic poetry ...

Sometimes it's easier to convince yourself that you don't want what you can't have.

Social face is a game of pretend, but the self still lies within.
