The September Crowdfunding Creative Jam is now open, with a theme of "emotions."  Visit it on Dreamwidth or LiveJournal.  Come give us prompts, or claim prompts for your own projects.  Please boost the signal anywhere it might be welcome.

What I Have Written

"Five Things That Fall from the Sky" -- A spell creates emotional weather, and two lesbians watch the changes it brings.

"Algophism" -- 32 lines, $15  SOLD
I used your title prompt, not as a title, but more as a theme -- although the actual title could be construed as a translation of the phrase. "Algophism" is a poem about three bad-girl goddesses having a good time by tormenting and killing wicked men.

"Feel the Rainbow" -- 147 lines, $73.50 SOLD
For colors of emotions, see "Feel the Rainbow." Two women who can hardly sense their emotions manage to fall in love anyhow.

"Building Where We Are" -- 93 lines, $46.50 (Schrodinger's Heroes)  SOLD
From your heaven prompt I got the free-verse poem "Building Where We Are." Schrodinger's Heroes live in the middle of nowhere, so they have to meet a lot of their own needs.

"The Thief of Her Heart" -- 243 lines, $121.50 SOLD
"The Thief of Her Heart" is another emotional dampening story, but with a totally different context. Here the cause is magical, and causes a nasty rebound once released. Delbar rescues Cassia from captivity and helps her ride out the aftermath. Worth mentioning is that Delbar is demisexual -- I haven't written many of those.

"Gezelligheid" -- 63 lines, $31.50 (Hart's Farm)
I love foreign words! "Gezelligheid" is a free-verse poem about what it means to belong, when you don't spend all your time with one person or in one place.

"Treppenwitz der Weltsheiße" --  23 lines, $10 SOLD
Here's the second foreign-word poem, "Treppenwitz der Weltsheiße," written in free verse. It captures the final outcome of global warming.

"Saudades" -- 428 lines, FREE (The Avengers)
Bruce Banner knows all about sorrows, regrets, and wishes for what was lost.
I'll be posting this one some time later.

"The Freedom Machine" -- 175 lines, $87.50 (P.I.E.)
Brenda and Darrel deal with an overly emotional stranger who has a distorted view about Brenda's quality of life.

Then I found this page of highly emotional, very weird sculptures by Choi Xoo Ang.  So I'm writing ekphrastic poetry ...

"Fingerwings" -- 22 lines, $10
A cluster of emotions clinging together.

"Grounded" -- 10 lines, $5
Two fallen angels stuck to each other.

"Melancholia" -- 14 lines, $10
A view of depression.

"Seeing Red" -- 10 lines, $5
The expression of shame.

"Psychological Corsetry and Other Commissions of Sin" -- 100 lines, $50
An exploration of social intrusion into the psyche.

"The Circumannular Nature of Faces" -- 39 lines, $15
The many emotions manifest in self-talk.

"Tongue Twisted" -- 20 lines, $10
An expression of intimacy and affection.

"The Speakers" -- 21 lines, $10 (Diminished Expectations)
Frustration due to impaired communication.

"In Want Of" -- 23 lines, $10 (Diminished Expectations)
Neediness and self-ignorance.

"The Sum of Her Parts"  -- 35 lines, $15 (Diminished Expectations)
A gynoid struggles with hope and suffering.

"The Lamentation of the Women" -- 21 lines, $10 (Diminished Expectations)
Different expressions of grief.

"Dejection" -- 20 lines, $10 (Diminished Expectations)
Under the crushing weight of misery, a man may crumble -- or buck.

"Disdain" -- 10 lines, $5 (Diminished Expectations)
Sometimes it's easier to convince yourself that you don't want what you can't have.

"Passing Fancy" -- 10 lines, $5
Social face is a game of pretend, but the self still lies within.

"Ambivalence" -- 24 lines, $10 (Diminished Expectations)
Two women have a push-pull relationship.

"Escape from the Makery" -- 64 lines, $32 (Diminished Expectations) SOLD
The gynoid and an android make a break for freedom.

"Apprehension" -- 25 lines, $10 (Diminished Expectations) SOLD
Two men cling to each other despite their fears.

"(un)enlightened" -- 6 lines, $5
Self-ignorance is a formidable obstacle.

"Woman's Best Friend" -- 63 lines, $31.50 (Diminished Expectations)
A dog-headed android becomes a widow's companion.

"Arrogance" -- 21 lines, $10
Power may command influence, but not affection.

"Tranquility" -- 9 lines, $5 (Diminished Expectations) SOLD
Inner beauty reflects onto the outside.

"Earthman" -- 10 lines, $5
The brown man sleeps and dreams.

"Greener with Envy" -- 19 lines, $10
Two couples watch each other, each wishing for what the other has.

"Perpetration" -- 34 lines, $15 (Diminished Expectations)
Sexual exploitation is an ugly thing.

"The Beginning of the Diminishment" -- 55 lines, $20 (Diminished Expectations) SOLD
A chemical weapon leaves unexpected and lasting effects.

"Good for Something" -- 78 lines, $39 (Diminished Expectations) SOLD
The Diminished are frequently exploited due to their handicap.

"Self-Bullying" -- 27 lines, $15 (Diminished Expectations)
Cruelty to oneself is no better than cruelty to another.

"Rooted in Place" -- 20 lines, $10 (Diminished Expectations)
Resistance and persistence pull in opposite directions.

"A Haven in a Heartless World" -- 191 lines, $95.50 (Diminished Expectations)
Five of the Diminished live as a family in a dystopic, war-torn world.
