Today is sunny and quite warm, with just a little breeze.

Round 1, I planted dill, oregano, thyme, and pineapple sage in the strip garden.

Round 2, I potted up jalapeno pepper plants with lime basil, and cayenne pepper plants with sweet basil.  I put the leftovers in the cistern herb garden.

Round 3, I planted more morning glory seeds around the support wire for the telephone pole.

Round 4, I potted cilantro, flat parsley, and curled parsley and put the extras in the cistern garden.  I also put together a pot of yellow and orange flowers.  Then I pulled more weeds around the forest garden.

The first peony bud is open.  The white globe allium is in full bloom.  I rather like it, and may buy more.  They come in purple too, which might be nice for the purple-and-white garden.

It's dusk now, so I'm done for the night.

Herb gardening is wonderful.
Don't forget to go to the grocery store for a piece of ginger root to plant. Chives and Chinese chives grow well from seed too.
I need to plant some more chives too.
You've got me hungry thinking of all the delicious cooking you will be doing with all those herbs!

I haven't had much luck growing ginger, or most things from seed. But I may well get some chive seeds and mint seeds to throw around, they're cheap.

Mostly spaghetti sauce and sloppy joe fillings.

I've recently discovered an artist, Lynne Cherry, whose plant and animal drawings are wonderful. She does lots of children's and picture books. Her book, _How Groundhog’s Garden Grew_, is particularly excellent for its detailed illustrations of garden plants and the animals that love them. Your yardening notes reminded me of it. You might enjoy it.
