Then it was getting that which suited my needs and was within my price, so less a matter what I disliked, than perhaps paying more than I thought it was worth. But I know what is good sewing so I can judge what's going to last versus what's going to look cheap after a few washes.
I also know which things are labelled wrong as to washing instructions. Generally speaking, if it's a natural 100% fiber, gentle detergent, cold water and line/flat dry. The dryer is the meanie, washing machines aren't harsher than a wash board. Polyester linings are the main spanner in the works, so I stay away from those.
