And if you've watched the MCU movies and X 1, you're pretty much good to go. I am ignoring most of the comics lore, because that shit is confusing as all hell. All I've done is add Remy, Warren, Kurt, and Hank back into the X-Men, with the explanation that they'd been away from the mansion when X1 happened, which is WHY X1 happened then. Because Magneto is not stupid, and knows that hitting your enemy when their forces are scattered to heck and gone ups your chances of success considerably.
Just his luck Rogue crossed paths with Logan, the one-man army that mucked up his plan but good.
