She had tremendous influence. She wasn't afraid to criticize shortcomings, though; she hated the way she was raised and spoke out against it quite strongly. So her family style was different with her own children.

Yay! Feel free to give me ideas, or just mention things you particularly like. Stuff from the very beginning of her reign will be the most useful at present. The Steamsmith takes place in 1837 and then some of the later poems lap over into 1838.
