Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. This is the current list of coping skills.

9. Role-play challenging situations with others.

This is super useful whether you prefer fantasy roleplaying games or realistic training scenarios. Or both.  Any kind of activity where you have to choose how to respond is good practice with creative decision-making.

When I was in junior high, the floor of the pumphouse rotted out and my parents were angsting over whether the $500 pump would fall down the well before a repairman could arrive.  I said, "Tie one end of a rope to the pump.  Tie the other end to a tree.  Then the pump can't fall down the well."  It worked.  Thank you, Dungeons & Dragons, for loads of inspiration about what to do with 50' of rope.

Lots of thunder, just a little rain.  It's been drizzling off and on since some time last night.  Hard to tell how much actual water has come down, but probably not a large amount.  It's just too wet to go out.
