>> Poor Ethan, he really went *throws ball, SMASH window, glass tinkles out of frame* <<
Yeah.
Ansel makes a good dustpan, though.
>> But yay for Snatcher bringing Ansel aside and Janie already getting Ethan under her wing.<<
:D Snatcher is grateful that Ethan has someone he's willing to go to, this time.
>> I love the support and comfort of Ansel, Janie, Turq and Jasper. <<
Yay! I'm glad that worked for you.
>> I love that Ansel and everyone asks Ethan what he needs to feel better. I like that Ethan is able to draw on comfort food from his family.<<
Yeah, Ethan's needs are particular enough that he can't use a lot of the standard recovery stuff. A quiet room, sure, but not people hovering over him with EFA, and he can't stand being around really upset people when he's upset himself. A rustic neighborhood and quiet company help a lot, though.
>> I love, love, love that Turq stays outside to make sure the fire's out and then scratches at the door to come in to check on Ethan! \o/ Whoo hoo, progress yet again! <<
Turq needed a strong motivation to get through the door the first time, but now the ice is broken, he should manage it again.
>> Turq as a therapy animal, I can see it. He's learnt quite a lot from Boots already and with his own instincts for when to approach people he'll be amazing at it. <<
Yep. He actually has very strong urges in that direction.
>> Bad call is bad and ouchie but I'm glad that the babies had someone with them, as horrid as that was for Ethan. <<
True.
>> No one deserves to die alone, but especially when they're too young to understand what's happening - or in the case of traumatic death - why.<<
Unfortunately the why was crystal-clear to empaths: their father didn't want them. >_<
>> I'm just glad that Ethan had the presence of mind or felt raw enough to seek comfort with Ansel, Janie and friends.<<
Ethan was thinking about how well Ansel had handled previous challenges and how peaceful the neighborhood was, so it was a good choice.
