Well, since it was an "alien space bats" change the rules bit, That allows for the new rules not really making sense in some ways.
What got me was that a few books in, he described an experiment someone was doing to try to figure out the new pressure/volume/temperature laws.
Only he had a pressure gauge hooked up to a setup that was basically a piston with weights on it. Apparently he isn't aware that pressure is *defined* by weight(force) per area.
So the weights & gauge bit did nothing. What you'd want to be measuring is the pressure it took to compress the gas in the piston by X amount. As well as any temperature changes.
Never, *ever* describe an experiment in a book unless you know the science involved or have run it past someone who knows it well.
That reminds me. For the Army of One stories, there's an actual unit of measurement that'd make a lot of stuff easier. Besides the "standard atmosphere" there's *technical* atmosphere. It's *exactly* 1 kilogram-force per square centimeter. Much handier for various calculations.
And personally, I suspect that once he have dozens of planets to deal with, they'll define the "standard gravity" as 10 meters per second per second. It won't be a noticeable change for most folks and it sure as heck makes the math easier. :-)
I think I've seen the Avengers video. There was one using stuff from Final Fantasy that was pretty good, but isn't up anymore. :-(

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFi7bWkyRpA uses footage of a 17th century Polish cavalry re-enactor group. Might give you ideas for Frankensteins Family.
