Heh. Fortunately, our Great Room has doors, which we used to keep the cats out while the tree was up. This had a great side-effect - we had to move the cat-tree from the far corner of the Great Room, where it was mostly ignored, to a spot next to the stairs. The cats love it there! It's right in the middle of everything, and they can treat the stair rails as an extension of their tree.
