Photos: House Yard

Today I took a few pictures in the house yard.

The rain garden has purple and white columbines blooming.

The goddess garden has the statue back.  Around it are the leaves of spring bulbs, several varieties of thyme, and the 20 moss roses that I recently planted.

This planter has pink and yellow flowers.  In the back are snapdragons, in the middle lantana, and in the front petunias.

This flowerpot has black-flowering petunias and black-leaved oxalis.

Ironically the oxalis has white flowers.

These double petunias form pompoms that are black in the center with frilly white edges.

These are so pretty!!! I haven't seen petunia's like those last ones. It's been raining so much I haven't been able to get out to the garden center. I want to get more pots and flowers so bad!

I've also seen petunia's with pale polkadots on darker color that gradually fades away overtime. I think its related to the temperatures they grow in. Odd little plants. And that's a really close comparison! I think that Dahlia's and marigolds have a similar appearance to that as well. Very cool!

That's not too great. Hope you were able to get them planted in time. I've still got a box on the table I have to get to myself.
