Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy and frigid. It got down to 8F last night. O_O

I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of sparrows and several cardinals. Earlier [livejournal.com profile] my_partner_doug saw 2 ring-necked pheasants in the front yard.

I like them. They make a funny cluck-squeak sound. I'm not surprised some have come into the yard when the weather has turned sharply colder. The fields around us are barren. When it snows, I can see pheasant tracks up to the bird feeder -- they're clearly scavenging seeds off the ground.
