Pasta Shapes

Watch a video of many pasta shapes from 4 types of dough.  It was interesting to see how many were made just with hands or a knife, but there were also some very cool tools for specific types of pasta making.  :D

Gosh, now I want to see Heron making a sermon with this stuff.  He has such dexterity, I could see him getting fascinated with all the little shapes.

Halley will probably be more intrigued by the 3D pasta printers.

Where would be an unexpected place for Heron to set up his sermon? Somewhere that everyone can actually sit and eat, too.

At a protest. Loudmouth still does those occasionally -- they're legal, she's good at it, they pay well, and it's fun for her. With a big protest, you need field support like food, drinks, and a first aid booth. Pastafarians generally believe in freedom and love giving away piles of food. Even Shiv liked that sermon! :D Another protest opportunity would be Lincoln because of all the problems they've had there.

Squid ink pasta. If you could dye some dough red (beetroot juice?) you could do a (European) fairytale pasta; red, white and black.

...okay, beet pasta is a thing.

And I know I've seen bread art with loaves made to look like turtles and teddy bears and the like. (Also, shaped pancakes and cookies.) I wonder if anyone's tried that with pasta?

Blue-and-green turtle ravioli. Striped-flag pasta squares. Green-leaf pasta and 2d flower cutout pasta. Autumn leaf pasta in a mix of 2 or 3 shapes and colors [carrots, saffron, beetroot?]. Migrating geese shapes in a blue broth. Maybe swan or fish shapes again in blue broth with some short green angel-hair pasta...

You can color pasta in a wide palette.

I'm amused that modern people have rediscovered garden bread, and think it is new. It's one of the oldest forms of food art, LOL.

Those are great ideas. You could easily make orange goldfish swimming among green grass.
