Apple Hero

This man has rescued over 1,000 heritage apple varieties thought to be lost.  <3 quiet heroes.

Thankfully, apples are easy to breed back as most apples are capable of morphing into new varieties.

Why, yes! I did grow up in the UK's premier apple growing county- only Kent would have a major research centre dedicated to apples,apple varieties and apple growing.

To a Maid of Kent an apple is never just an apple! :o)

Also true. The challenging part is getting a good one that will graft true, because it takes several years before a seedling will fruit.

I have read much about the apples of the White Isle, and have fond memories from other lives.
