Ooooooh. Sneaking in late, because I've just had an idea.

Terramagne, connecting back to The Lights Behind Us: Santos-Dumont was, and is, variously called both a wizard and a scientist. In Terramagne, he's also a soup. This is known. Can we see more about him, his already-extant air elemental ability, his gizmology and/or supergizmology, and that marvelous watch of his? There was also talk of that watch being passed down through the generations within his family, with the attached story that it only works as a good luck charm (i.e. enhances existing powers) if it likes you. That fits the definition of this prompt, yes? It fits it twice, if we look at the inverse. :)

Bonus points if, despite living in France, Santos-Dumont is still quietly but proudly Brazilian? I'm all a-flutter over a bunch of Lusophone characters lately...

For a couple dovetailing prompts, I know we've batted around the idea that Cartier might have thought the watch he gave his friend the aviator was a true good luck charm, and maybe didn't know the extent of the supergizmology he was working into the piece. Did Cartier have any idea? His family clearly figured it out down the line, but how quickly?

And, finally, I can't string a bunch of prompts about fantastical tech together without bringing up Professor Tesla. He may not have believed his work was anything close to magic, but...
