Listen to "Gimme Some of That Ol' Atonal Music"

This is hilarious, but also pretty good music.  If you were wondering what bluegrass sounds like in Terramagne, this is a good example of their avant garde stuff.  :D

Ha-ha! Love it!

And if you want a 'serious' [/finger quotes] explanation of 12-tone music, this video, from Vi Hart from 5 years ago (~30 min.), goes into the theory, philosophy, and psychology of atonal music, along with the philosophy of creativity and culture, and rants against copyright law, might just be the thing.

That video is marvelously wacky and accurate. (Except for the part about "The Owl and the Pussycat" being under copyright. Stravinsky's setting is, but the poem was written in 1871. I'm most familiar with Oak, Ash, and Thorn's version, set to the tune of "Farewell Sweet Lovely Nancy".)

Well, it was Stravinsky's music she wanted to talk about... And I also think she wanted to draw a bird bowl and laser bat (and gripe about copyright in general).

That was an absolute hoot!

Oddly enough I was bingeing on related subjects in Wikipedia just this morning.

I'd also like to mention the Austin Lounge Lizards, in case you haven't heard them.
