Aw, man I hate when it's over! I like the style of short pieces just giving a kind of overview of the important point in Phil's life. (By the way, I felt kinda sad when he switched from Flip. They grow up so fast!) The "bringing in from the cold" aspect of Phil's job is awesome, and I would LOVE to see that developed in a story or two about Clint and Natasha. His skill as the one who cleans up, the hero in the shadows, and the "Men in Black" feel to SHIELD is also cool. I find it kind of fascinating how the quiet, unassuming government guy in the cheap suit, became such a fandom favourite that he got added to the comics and even got his own tv show. I guess at heart, most of us just love the "ordinary" hero. This is a great way to explain how Agent Coulson, super!handler and World's Mightiest Uncle came to be. The background you've envisioned blends perfectly with the canon character, and it was great seeing the foundations of the Phil we know from LIFC being formed. So even though I'm sad it's over, this was a really satisfying read, and I guess despite my desire for another hundred chapters, I have to admit that it ends in a good place. Can't wait for the next instalment! Yay Natasha!
