I picture Flip's mother with a lot of the subtle body language, like smiling at the corners of her eyes, the way that adult Phil Coulson does. It's sweet, and domestic, and wonderfully /approachable/ as a scene, even though the entire /content/ is very, very tough going, especially for an eight-year-old.
