>> Lovely! I love that at first only one person realizes what might be going on, and as Lekeeth can better express herself with words, everyone else also begins to understand. <<

I tried to figure out what would a plausible cause and logical progression for this issue in that culture. The raisers spend the most time with children, and most children have one or more raisers they're particularly attached to. So that's where it started.

The thing with the mother at the beginning is fairly common for female rangers -- the ones who don't have much nurturing instinct are free to hand off the job to someone else and go back to their regular work. This can happen sooner if something creates difficulty in bonding.

>>And my favourite part is that everyone just accepts her touch aversion! ♥<<

Northern culture is accommodating of differences, so long as they can be worked into village life somehow. "Don't grab the person with hypersensitive skin" is something they can readily understand, even though it puts a crimp in their usually expressive and huggy lifestyle.

They have more of a challenge dealing with people who have antisocial or criminal tendencies, but people are so heavily socialized and rarely alone that only a few examples of that crop up.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] ellenmillion is interested in seeing more of this character, and the April 2013 Muse Fusion is open all weekend, so if you want to leave additional prompts then that's cool. The last date in the poem is close to the latest-written activity in the Torn World timeline.
