I almost miss running, but not enough to take it up again.

Freerunning - really more like parkour* - was something a few people heavily used a couple years ago. Intensely stressful and mentally-emotionally dangerous living space. Being able to literally run from the place, over fences and through neighborhoods, let the Flight out in a controlled way. It let them tap some important memories and semi-cultural practices, too, and that also helped with the stress.

Should really get into it again. Interestingly, someone figured out a while ago that stamina for running increases if they're running for a particular purpose - such as away from personal demons, or to find a lost item before an event starts - than just to run.

*Parkour at its technical definition is more accurate to what they were doing. Go from point A to B as efficiently as possible, jumping and climbing over things if you have to. Freerunning at its technical definition includes tricks. Most locals who aren't involved in either do not know that distinction and think of tricks when they hear parkour. So we use the wrong words to match what seems to be the actual common use.
