Sensory Cat really missed Sibling. They had conflicting personalities, but the longest they'd ever been separated prior to that was just a few days, and I don't think he was even aware of the distinction between 'gone' and 'dead.' We did try to make sure his remaining days were as happy and comfortable as possible, though.
