Cuddle Party

Everyone needs contact comfort sometimes. Not everyone has ample opportunities for this in facetime. So here is a chance for a cuddle party in cyberspace. Virtual cuddling can help people feel better.

We have a cuddle room that comes with fort cushions, fort frames, sheets for draping, and a weighted blanket. A nest full of colorful egg pillows sits in one corner. There is a basket of grooming brushes, hairbrushes, and styling combs. A bin holds textured pillows. There is a big basket of craft supplies along with art markers, coloring pages, and blank paper. The kitchen has a popcorn machine. Labels are available to mark dietary needs, recipe ingredients, and level of spiciness. Here is the bathroom, open to everyone. There is a lawn tent and an outdoor hot tub. Bathers should post a sign for nude or clothed activity. Come snuggle up!

A tired woman with frizzy hair comes in. She grabs a weighted blanket and sets her project bag next to her as she sits on a cushion.

She writes a quick sign that says 'cuddles welcome, join the nap pile' & then puts it next to her. Then she falls into a nap waiting for people to join.

*Fuzzy J walks in wearing her red bathrobe over grey pants and an oxblood t-shirt. She puts a container of Chocolate Chip cookies and one of Midnight Brownie cookies drizzled with caramel on the snack table, then goes to join the nap pile. She places her project bag and book next to her, then settles in for some cuddles before starting to work on anything.*

* APD slips out the back door of the office, and quickly heads over to visit. It looks like today there is a nap pile, which is just what the doctor ordered. Trying not to disturb those already snuggled in, he works his way into the pile for a cuddle or two. *

I found a recipe that manages to combine both crispy edges and a soft middle :D They have disappeared very quickly whenever I've made them for hugspace friends. *cuddles*
