Also, as a quiet firework, how about senko hanabi? Not everyone will do as well as a master of the art, and of course the formula for it is a traditional secret - but the formula provided by NightHawkInLight is his own to give to others, modified from what he learned. I'd still be careful with it, these are fiery things that give off burning sparks, but they are beautiful.
