I'd also be prepared for one or two jerks who, when they discover the refugees are twitchy about fireworks, go out and deliberately set them off near them! Just for laughs at their reactions.

There's always a few who'll do that with animals, and I doubt T-america is so good they have totally eliminated that kind of behaviour. (reduce yes, certainly, but not gone completely.)
