Meet Ugly Bingo Card 2-28-19

Here are my cards for the Meet Ugly Bingo Fest over in allbingo. It has two different categories: Situations, and Words and Phrases. I have decided to play both. The idea is that two characters meet in a horrible situation, but somehow wind up liking each other anyway. This seems so apt for black hats and white hats! The fest runs from March 1-31. (See all my 2019 bingo cards.)

If you'd like to sponsor a particular square, especially if you have an idea for what character, series, or situation it would fit -- talk to me and we'll work something out. I've had a few requests for this and the results have been awesome so far. This is a good opportunity for those of you with favorites that don't always mesh well with the themes of my monthly projects. I may still post some of the fills for free, because I'm using this to attract new readers; but if it brings in money, that means I can do more of it. That's part of why I'm crossing some of the bingo prompts with other projects, such as the Poetry Fishbowl.

I've been sooo tempted...

Now, imagine Shiv, skittish like a cat in a room full of rocking chairs, goes into a store and happens to be wearing the same color shirt as the clerks. He's minding his own business, doing shopping for the Blues Moon, and some entitled person comes up and *demands* that he stops lollygagging and helps them *right* *now*, complete with threatening to "talk to his manager".

So Shiv is annoyed and amused, and decides to royally fuck with the entitled customer, then slips out when he's done. Said customer then complains vociferously to the manager, who is confused because no one with that description works there. Entitled jerk gets put in their place and humbled, Shiv gets a good story to tell back at the Blues Moon. More fun if the entitled jerk ends up at the Blues Moon and has their error rubbed in their face again.

Am I evil? Well, I'd probably be a gray cape... ;)

A backchannel prompt for the Meet Ugly bingo inspired the free-verse poem "Bitter Melon." Shiv is shopping in an Asian market when someone mistakes him with staff, and he decides to fuck around with her instead of just being honest.
