Even more awesome. I think a supermoon is quite plausible, as Jovian planets often have big moons that might sustain life. If the moon's orbit takes it through that tail, the effects on the biosphere could be fascinating. It might be ruinous to life -- or like plate tectonics, a helpful variation.

well, that gas density would be quite low... but the magnetic field would be massive! [think, Pandora!]
