Just checked something: Osaka is on the far side (from the quakes) of around 100km of land, their bay opens to the south, and it's around 200km north of any straight shot to the east. Doubt they'd be experiencing much tsunami action. For Tokyo, at least it's on the east side of Honshu, but their bay opens southward and is similarly situated (although the land masses are about half the size), so they are likely safe as well. Still, better safe than sorry I suppose.
