Fond memory

My grandmother made me a jacket, in the open-front, quilted style popular in the 80's, and when I laid eyes on it, I was delighted. Long story short, it was a marvel of ingenuity and thrift, even though there were only three fabrics involved, and I regret passing it on when I outgrew it, because it's the last thing she made for me.

I had no idea that COULD happen, at that age... So now I'm wondering what that coat would say, interspersed between sharp commentary at stray pins, badly-written pattern directions, and so on.
