I had thought of him making emergency rations. That stuff can be finicky to dry. Even freeze-dried food like veggie bits takes special equipment, and air dryers take time. But with superpowers -- especially at his level -- he could dry a warehouse full of stuff instantly. It would probably take practice to get it just right, but once done, he could be quite an asset to disaster relief.
It'll be a while before he's ready for that, though. He needs to cry for at least a few months before he'll get tired of moping over the past and start thinking about how to make amends. Anonymously, because if anyone ever finds out who he was, they'll kill him.
