My partner Doug found this video of duelling bagpipers.  :D  Be patient, it's amusing from the beginning but takes a while to get to the really relevant part.

Hee! I noticed that at one point they were playing "Mason's Apron", or at least the B part of it. And I love the ending!

Is that what one of the songs was? I couldn't help thinking they were sassing each other while they were dueling, either.

The video on Dueling banjos is just as entertaining and fun, if not as full of audience.

That's the song they're playing right at the end. Here's a version of it that lets you hear the A part as well. I recognized most of the other bits and pieces they played, but not to know the names of them. I can always remember "Mason's Apron" because it was used to write this funny teaching song about Hamlet.

Yes, they were definitely sassing each other. It's like a mating dance, with the two guys (players) trying to outdo each other to impress the girl (who has no speaking part). At the end of it, she looks back and forth, chooses one... and then visibly decides, "Why not both?" and walks offstage with one on each arm.

I think I spotted the joke I'm supposed to get - but I still don't *get* it on the level of comprehending what is *funny* about it. Great music, though!

Hm, I ought to've recognized "Duelling Banjos".

I was thinking that the ending might be either that she takes both pipers, or that she takes a set of pipes and outpipes them both.

That's what I was thinking, that she would ask one of them for his pipes and proceed to show them both!

I spotted the interactions (I was watching for them) but I missed the 'duelling banjo' aspect. Thanks.
