I loved this deepening and strengthening of EUNAN and Cassandra's relationship. It's a great development, an update into their lives, and very warm.

But I laugh at how well you've pegged Aidan!

The only thing Eunan missed is that Aidan also thinks of the time that something will be used. A toaster doesn't last more than a couple of years here and now, so that's the kind of present he gives an acquaintance. The longer something will last, the more he wants the relationship to continue.

Which usually means the item is initially expensive, but cheaper than buying low-quality goods several times over the same time span.
