Delphi once JUMPED from my jelly cabinet to my best friend's shoulder while we were sitting at the dinner table. She was a kitten and enjoyed showing off for her Uncle David! We were also eating and she figured there might be something good. And Skye would leap onto my shoulder from behind, whenever I bent over the kitchen counter because she was sure I must be doing something interesting. I got accustomed to it and never was really surprised by it. My Dad on the other hand...... oops! I would not have imagined she would do that with anyone but me. Nobody was hurt but my Dad was extremely startled.

When Delphi did it, Uncle David and I laughed about it and loved on her. Uncle Dee understood. And she still gets excited when he comes to visit.

Thanks for sharing this poem! I always love your work that involved cats. Maybe Victor and Igor will adopt a kitty someday? Some furry love might be healing for them.
