Meant for a 3D printer, this free universal construction kit consists of connectors for interfacing 10 popular children's toys such as Legos and Tinker Toys.  SO MUCH WIN.

Now we need to decide on a printer and begin saving up. Because I've got K'nex, lego and a couple of other systems here, just waiting for a creative spark.

True, but hubby wants a 3-D printer, has for several years, and is constantly looking at different kinds of printers and the different materials, etc. Window shopping, in effect, for both diversity in materials and the printer resolution.

In fact, I think searching for "the ideal first 3D printer" is now a hobby of his; I'd hate to ruin his fun with /logic/. LOL!

HE has fun shopping, ENORMOUSLY. I learned early on to treat it like an actual hobby and not think he meant he /needed/ x, y, or z item; the fun was SHOPPING for them.

Me, I make a list, get in and out of the store as quickly as possible for the least amount of money possible... Except for yarn shopping. It's probably the only "window shopping" I do!
