ysabetwordsmith: Text -- three weeks for dreamwidth, in pink (three weeks for dreamwidth)
In Terramagne-America, there is a company of several multicultural women that's making packets of crispy chickpeas in different flavors. The Hot Chicks are extra-spicy, the Saucy Chicks are milder, and the Sweet Chicks are sugary. The promotional characters are baby chickens dressed as bikers on the Hot Chicks, while the Saucy Chicks have more eclectic "go out and have fun" outfits, and the Sweet Chicks are dolled up in pink. So cute, I wish I could draw these.

Chickpeas are big rounded legumes. They offer protein, fiber, and other benefits. When roasted, they make a healthy snack that can be flavored in various ways. You can do many other things with them too.

This week, the poetry in the Shiv thread of the Polychrome Heroics series is on sale for half price from Monday, May 15 through Sunday, May 21. This series is superhero fantasy and the thread focuses on a young supervillain. It features themes of trauma, recovery, law and disorder, coming of age, power dynamics, trust and distrust, identity, diversity, family of choice, friendship, and cultural engineering. Sale prices range from $50.50 to $156. There are three open epics at present, all in Polychrome Heroics, so I'd rather not open a new one unless absolutely essential.

Today has been sunny and very warm.

Round 1, I planted another sedum in the septic garden, a Red Dragon penstemon (which is actually blooming pink) in the wildflower garden, and potted up some moss roses.

Round 2, I planted another penstemon (probably white) and a wild white indigo in the wildflower garden.

Mosquitoes everywhere today, inevitable after a couple weeks of rain.  I wish the toads would stop fornicating in the puddles long enough to eat something.  More toadlings later will be lovely, but no help for the buggy air right now.

My irises are blooming.
