From My Prompts
"Tolerance" by [personal profile] alexconall  looks at different meanings of the word.

What I Have Written

These two free-verse poems are a matched set in the Berettaflies thread:

"Until It Hears Something Better" spans part of Week 4 and Week 5, after Stylet surrenders and begins making amends to the citizens of Easy City. It's a bumpy ride, but he has some support.
182 lines, Buy It Now = $91

"A Little from the Heart" shows the meeting between Stylet and Ashley, in which he attempts to apologize and she expresses her extreme displeasure.
481 lines, Buy It Now = $241

Alex Conall has posted the poem "Tolerance" which examines different meanings of the word and how they overlap.  It's a brilliant explanation of why tolerance has limits.

It's chilly and overcast today.  I fed the birds.  Mourning dove is still sitting on two eggs.  I saw a pair of cardinals earlier this week too.

I planted three White Feather hostas in the purple-and-white garden near the patio.

My birthday package from Mom & Dad also includes:
25 Asiatic Lily Mixed
25 Dutch Iris
3 Daylily 'Here Lies Butch'
3 Shaker's Prayer Siberian Iris
3 Iris Versicolor Dark Aura
10 Mixed Hostas (which haven't arrived yet)

New Zealand just recognized the Whanganui River as a legal person.  \o/

Totally happening in Terramagne, too, although I suspect it's earlier there.

I was fascinating to find this quote that referenced emotional labor among the trials of women and men:

nature has decreed that for what men suffer by having to shave, be killed in battle, and eat the legs of chickens, women make amends by housekeeping, childbirth, and writing all the letters for both of them ...
