Today I pulled weeds and cut brush around the septic tank cap.  One of my projects for this season is trying to grow something other than weeds there.  I've been trying grass, and it hasn't worked.  So I'll throw down more topsoil, and try some rabbit-resistant annuals, maybe a rhubarb plant and comfrey too.

The February theme was "nonsexual intimacies." I worked from 12:15 PM to 7:45 AM, so about 17 hours 30 minutes, allowing for lunch and supper breaks. I wrote 5 poems on Tuesday and another 8 later in the week.

Participation was lower, with 19 comments on LiveJournal and 49 on Dreamwidth. Please welcome new prompters [personal profile] mirrorofsmoke and Anna Libertas. You have them to thank for the second freebie.

Buy some poetry!
If you plan to sponsor some poetry but haven't made up your mind yet, see the unsold poetry list for February 7, 2017. That includes the title, length, price, and the original thumbnail description for the poems still available.

All currently sponsored poems have been posted. Donors this time include: Stephen Laird, [personal profile] ng_moonmoth, Anthony & Shirley Barrette.

The Poetry Fishbowl made its $200 goal, so "Fears You Didn't Know Existed" was the free epic.  We also made the $250 goal, so that's two tallies toward a bonus session.

The Poetry Fishbowl project also has a permanent landing page.

In response to the current government's transphobic policies, Yelp is introducing a new feature which indicates whether businesses have a gender-neutral restroom of the single-stall variety.  They don't seem to be tracking family restrooms yet, but anything is progress.  I'm pleased to see something akin to the Find Dottie! and Dottie Spotter apps from T-America.
